Mangaluru : All College Students association members staged a protest against the suicide of Expert College student Nevil Saldanha Fernandes on October 6, Saturday.

Bhathesh Alakemajalu, President of All College Students Union (PG), alleged that the police have not taken the incident seriously despite Nevil in his death note clearly stating as to who was responsible for his suicide.

The student leaders demanded compensation to the family of the deceased Nevil and also urged the authorities to take serious cognizance of the increasing cases of suicides of students in the district.

Dinaker Shetty, advocate and advisor of the Union,  President of the PU unit of the Association Nihal Rai, Vice President Hitesh and many others took part in the protest.
