Bengaluru: Former chief minister and BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa met minister D K Shivakumar here on Wednesday, November 28 here.
Yeddyurappa was accompanied by his son B Y Raghavendra and another BJP leader Halappa. The meeting of two prominent leaders from two different parties has indeed given rise to lot of speculation.
However, some of the media reports say that the BJP leaders met the Congress minister to discuss about building Singandur Bridge.
Speaking to reporters before the meet, Yeddyurappa said that he was going to meet D K Shivakumar and discuss about several irrigation projects and other issues of Shivamogga.
After the meeting, Yeddyurappa said that political statements are confined only to Assembly and they are good friends since long time.
Shivakumar said that there is no politics when it comes to development and he met Yeddyurappa relating to development matters. “When Yeddyurappa was chief minister, he also had helped me in various matters. I was supposed to go to Hyderabad. Yet I made time to meet Yeddyurappa,” he said.
