Mangaluru : It is a deadly combination of power, A practicing lawyer also doubling as a journalist and over and above is to be crowned with the prestigious Madhyama Academy (Media Academy) award. But the matter becomes more intriguing when the same person has played in three different names each for being a journalist, being a practicing lawyer and for getting the award.

The person in question is Sukesha with Karnataka Bar Council, with enrolment number KAR/1061/2007, is practicing in Mangalore. The same person is also the working as News Bureau Chief of Kasturi, and according to the membership ID Card no.DKJ/089 issued by Dakshina Kannada Working Journalist Union, is name is Sukesh, and for the Madhyama Academy award the same person has been recognised as Sukesh Kumar. According to a news reports publish in a news Portals and various other print media, he is Mangaluru Corresspondent of Kasturi news. The Bar council of Mangaluru, The Kasturi Television Channel and the Dakshina Kannada Working Journalist Union and finally the Madhyama Academy has also been misled by the same person for different identities Sukesh, also known as Sukesha (aka) Sukesh Kumar respectively. Sukesh’s achievement, as member, was to cast his vote first in the Dakshina Kannada Working Journalist Union elections, which was held on 5th August 2018 in the premises of Department of Information and Public Relations, Dakshina Kannada, Mangalore. The membership and ID of DKWJU that was obtained by Sukesh which is valid till 31-03-2019 was illigal.

This is an impropriety of sorts, credibility of four major organizations – Karnataka Bar Council, State Madhyama Academy, Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists Union and the promoter of the Madhyama Academy the State government have been misled by one single individual. Over and above the Chief Minister himself will be conferring the Madhyama Academy award 2018 on this individual. This is historic! When, a single individual, has been accredited with multiple memberships and a coveted award.
