Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada district Superintendent of police (SP) Dr B R Ravikanthe Gowda has been transferred to Bengaluru and IPS officer B M Laxmi Prasad appointed as new SP of Mangaluru.

The state government on Monday, December 31, issued orders in this regard.

Dr B R Ravikanthe Gowda, who had taken charge as SP of Dakshina Kannada in January 2018, has been promoted and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Police Fire Services, Bengaluru.

The 30-year-old Mr. Prasad an 2014 batch IPS officer, who is presently the SP, Internal Security Division (CCT-Gentre for Counter Terrorism) Bengaluru, has been appointed the new SP of Dakshina Kannada.
