Mangaluru: A photographer was killed when he tried to overtake a speeding tanker in Padil, on Wednesday.

The accident took place when Ganesh, 38, who was going to Mangaluru on his two-wheeler, tried to overtake a tanker in front of him. While trying to overtake, his vehicle rammed into the tanker knocking him down. The rear wheels of tanker went over him, killing him on the spot.

A case has been registered at Mangaluru South Traffic police station.
