Mangaluru : Revenue Minister R.V. Deshpande will inaugurate Moodbidri and Kadaba taluks on March 1, said Dakshina Kannada in-charge Minister U.T. Khader on Wednesday.
He told reporters that Mr. Deshpande would visit the two taluk headquarters on March 1 and announce some development programmes, including the starting of KSRTC bus services from Manila to Dharmasthala, Subrahmanya and Puttur.
Mr. Khader also said that he would begin on Wednesday a series of taluk-level meetings to review development programmes. The first review meeting would be in Sullia, where he would receive grievances at the inspection bungalow between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Wednesday. He would then chair a Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) meeting. Subsequently, he would go to Puttur and hear grievances at the inspection bungalow at 2.30 p.m. This also would be followed by a KDP meeting, at 4 p.m.
A similar programme would be held on Thursday in Belthangady, followed by Bantwal. On Saturday, he would hold meetings at Moodbidri at 9 a.m., at Mulki at 11.30 a.m., and lastly at the council hall of Mangaluru City Corporation.
Mr. Khader said the new building of Government Lady Goschen Hospital and the renovated Ravindra Kalabhavan of University College would be inaugurated on February 26. Though Union Ministers have been invited for the programme at the hospital, there has not been any confirmation of their participation so far, he said.
