Mangaluru : Counting of votes for 60 wards of Mangaluru City Corporation results began on November 14 morning.

BJP candidates – Shobha Rajesh from Surathkal West (Ward no. 1) with 985 votes; Poornima from Central Market (Ward 41) with 2037 votes; Roopashri Poojary from Alape North (ward 21) with 2073 votes; Vanita Prasad from Padavu west (Ward number 21); Shweta from Suratkal east (Ward number 2) with 2496 votes and Premanand Shetty from Mangaladevi (ward no 56) with 2187 votes – registered victory over the rival candidates.

Meanwhile Lancelot Pinto of Congress has opened the party’s account by registering a win in Bejai (Ward number 31) with 1939 votes.
