Kasargod : A Central Intelligence Bureau official was found dead inside his car in Bekal on Thursday late night.

The deceased has been identified as Rijo Francis, 35, a native of Alappuzha. He had been serving as IB Inspector in Kasargod for several years.

It is suspected that Rijo suffered a cardiac arrest while driving his car. He had undergone surgery for cardiovascular disease last year and was undergoing treatment for it.

The police shifted the body to the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital for conducting post-mortem.
