Mangalore : The 40th tulu movie ‘kanchilda Baale’ will be released at Prabhath Theatre in Mangalore on March 25th to mark the 40th year of tulu cinema said Raghunath Rai Kumbra, producer and director of the movie.
Speaking at the press meet held at press club on March 22, Tuesday, he said that the film will be released at Mayura-puttur and Kalpana-Udupi at a time.
Muthappa Rai-founder of Jayakarnataka has played a role in the movie. Shakunthala Shetty- ex MLA Puttur is in the lead role. This movie highlights the son in law custom followed in tulunadu and also about Kambala-the traditional sport.
Comedy actor Navin.D.Padil, Aravind Bolar, D.N.Bolar is all present in this movie. Charithra hedge from udupi has acted as ‘kanchilda Baale’.
Raghunath Rai-Kumbra, who is the old student of Puttur St.Philomena’s college has received national level gold medal for his first movie ‘maari bale’. He also produced a movie in kannada. The Producer has requested everyone to watch this movie and encourage him.
