Mangaluru: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that Congress is the reason behind bringing an amendment to Citizenship Act.

Addressing pro-CAA rally organised by the BJP at Goldfinch City on Monday, January 27, Rajnath Singh said, “Congress is the main reason bringing an amendment to Citizenship Act.”

“Congress leaders divided India and Pakistan based on religion, not BJP,” claimed Rajnath.

The party did what we said. We have fulfilled our promise to the people of the country. The Triple Talaq has been canceled as you all hope. The construction of the Ram Mandir was tried according to the constitution. The Supreme Court has agreed to that.

He further said, “I am grateful to people of Mangaluru for supporting BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha election.”

“We claimed that we will abrogate Article 370 in our manifesto, we kept our promise,” said Defence Minister.
