Mangaluru : After the coronavirus case confirmed from Jeppu Patna in Jeppu Patna, the district administration has declared the area as containment zone on Sunday May 17,.

The source of his infection is yet to be traced. However, sources said that he has travel history to Delhi. The 31-year-old male had developed symptoms, after which he got himself tested.

Deputy commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh on Sunday declared the area surrounding the patient’s residence as containment zone. The entire area has been sealed down.

The zone encompasses 48 houses, two shops and a school, and there are 205 residents. An area of 5 km radius around the containment zone has been designated as buffer zone.

Executive engineer-3 of Mangaluru City Corporation has been appointed as incident officer in charge of the zone.
