Kasargod:  Karnataka origin IPS Officer, D Shilpa has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police of Kasargod District.  Shilpa has become the first woman Chief of Kasargod District Police.

P S Sabu has now been reportedly transferred as the SP of Alappuzha District.

Hailing from Karnataka, Shilpa has earlier served as the ASP of Kasargod District and was transferred as the ASP of Kannur District ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections in March 2019.
