Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada district reported seven new coronavirus postive cases reported on Sunday, June 21,
The infected three persons returned from Kuwait on June 17, one has influenza-like illness (ILI), another severe acute respiratory illness (SARI) and two are primary contacts of patient P-6618. The ILI patient is a 70-year-old resident of Puttur, while the SARI patient is a 56-year-old resident of Beltangady.
The Kuwait returnees are two women aged 26 and 32, and a man aged 59, while the two primary contacts of P-6618 are a woman aged 30 years and a man aged 38.
As per the district health bulletin, 187 are currently active cases. a total of 11,889 samples have been sent for tests till date, out of which 11,238 have turned out negative, and 433 positive, including 10 persons from other districts. Out of these, As many as 238 persons have recovered and been discharged.
Total 17 patients, including one woman, were discharged from Wenlock on Sunday.
As per the health bulletin released by the Udupi district administration, no positive cases reported on Sunday.
