Mangaluru : The district administration has made necessary arrangements for the strict implementation of the lockdown in Dakshina Kannada district for 7days which began on Wednesday night will be in force till 5 am on July 23.
The lockdown decision was taken considering the rising cases of Covid-19 in the district in the past few weeks.
The citizens have been allowed to come out and buy provisions, vegetables, etc between 8 and 11 am every day. KSRTC, private buses and vehicles have been barred from undertaking trips.
Only few shops were open in the city in the morning and only very few customers visited the shops to buy their requirements. The police have undertaken measures to strictly enforce lockdown norms.
