Mangalore : The Social Democratic Party of India’s DK dt branch, organised a large procession of its disgruntled members from Clock Tower, Hampankatta to DC office gates, in protest against travesty of Justice in ruling circles, with innocents in jail and culprits running state administration
A series of speakers at the afternoon rally referred to terrorism in the country in the last 2 years, leading to bloodshed in public and giving a bad name to Muslims as if it was under the sole ownership, not knowing terrorist attacks outside India by other groups.
Ismail Engineer of Mulky welcomed the participants. Introductory remarks were made by Sajipa Mohd.Nasir (Vice president for DK Unit). K.Abdul Jaleel took as the chair of Dt. Unit Chief of SDPI. Key note address was made by Anwar Sa’adat, state unit member who said that saffron (Hindutva) terrorists stood exposed recently in their bomb blasts in Malegaon Maharashtra and Muslims felt relaxed. IF Pak ISI and Taliban or other militant groups started the bombing, and suicidal attacks, RSS militants followed their path to commit more violence in Maharashtra.
Chief guest at the people’s rally on a hot day included, Ilyas Muhammed, Stae Chairman, PFI., Nirvanappa, SDPI ate member, Chandrahas, Deekaiah (Social Reforms Front), Lancy Touras, Shahul Hameed, Mohd Shareef and others.
Delivering the Introductory speech on the occasion, Sajipa Mohammed Nasir, vice president, SDPI said that when one innocent people then ten terrorist will born.
He said that our state which is in the number one position is coming down because of the deeds of present ruling government. After the BJP government came into power the people are facing the problem of price hike of essential commodities.
Chief Guest Elias Mohammed, state president, Popular Front of India said that there are various kinds of terrorism taking place in country like fake police encounter, custodial death, republic and governmental terrorism but the government point out the Muslim youth as responsible.
There are people of various castes and religion living in the country but when the incident occurs between the religions they blame minorities as communalism.
There is large number of corruption cases taking place in the state and around Rs 1,70,000 crore has been corrupt. The state government is also fully involved in the corruption.
He also said that the person irrespective of caste and religion involved in the terrorist activities are the enemies of the country.
Nirvanappa, state committee member, SDPI said that every minutes there will be a corruption, murder and dacoity case in the country. The SDPI is born to fight against corruption, harassment, and fight for rights of minorities.
G.Rajashekhar (Communal Goodwill Forum of Udupi) speaking on the occasion, said that blasts have taken place both in Hindu and Muslim areas in Mumbai, Malegaon, Ajmeer Dargah, Rarayan Temple Saurashtra), even in Samzauta Express running between Delhi and Lahore.
This means not one community alone, but both the major and minor communities have been proved to be in the thick of violent attacks.
Prajna singh and Indresh Kumar have been exposed along with Ajmal Kasab and Afzal Guru. Such blood shed and misunderstandings cannot continue, but must come to a speedy end. There are other economic issues before the country which need removal from public life, such as corruption in many forms he said.
