Mangaluru : Volleyball legend, National level best volleyball judges, many volleyball players across the nation and international level, best organizer and simple personality the District Rajyotsava Award winner Mr. Nagesh Attavara has passed away on Monday.

Nagesh Attavar was a founding member and president of Urvastore Mangala Friends Club. For many years he has served in a significant way in the organisations all-round growth.

He also served as a physics teacher. He has worked tirelessly to develop the volleyball field in the district. Many young players are dedicated to the sport. Recognizing his achievements in sports he was honored with the district Rajyotsava award.

Undivided district Volleyball players in the district are calling him a Volleyball Bhishma.

The deceased survived his mother, wife, daughter, two brothers, and a sister.
