Mangaluru : Unidentified miscreants have thrown soda bottles towards the Pumpwell mosque. The incident took place at around 3.40 am by escaping the eyes of the watchmen of the mosque.

The incident came to light when the watchmen went upstairs in the morning. Immediately the masjid management was alerted and a police complaint lodged.

Mangaluru South sub-division ACP Kodandarama and other police personnel visited the spot.

It may be recalled here that police had recently arrested six persons in connection with the stoning of the Maulana Azad Minorities Bhavan at Pandeshwar recently.

The State Darimi Ulema Okkuta Chief S B Darimi, All India Muslim Development Forum, Mangalore Central Committee, Muslim League, Muslim Justice Forum and other organiations have demanded stern action against those behind the two incidents.
