Mandya: A man has been accused of sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl in Maddur town in the district.

Prakash, 48, resident of the 6th Cross of Siddhartha Nagar, is said to be accused of atrocity.

On Tuesday evening, a child who was playing outside the house was taken to his home and sexually assaulted. Immediately the child screamed and ran out of the house.

The incident of sexual harassment cames to light when people inquire about a child.

A case has been registered at Maddur police station and the accused has been taken into custody.
