Mangaluru ; The Yenepoya University has decided to close its constituent colleges with immediate effect till further orders after more than 20 Covid-19 positive cases reported on the campuses in the last few days.
According to the circular from the university, “A total of nine institutions of the Yenepoya Deemed-to-be-University will remain closed. The interns, postgraduate students and the nursing staff will continue to attend their duties. The medical college hospital will function as usual. Teaching and non-teaching staff will attend the work as usual. Online classes will be conducted for all students. The controller of examinations will issue a separate note regarding the conduct of examinations,” the circular stated.
Health officials said that the colleges have been directed to collect swab samples of primary contacts of the infected students.
