Belthangady : A young woman who had reportedly attempted suicide by consuming poison ten days ago and was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru has died on the night of March 23, Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Vincy (20), daughter of Viju, a resident of Gandibagilu Devagiri Chenapalli.

Vincy was a final year B.Com student of a college in Belthangady. She had attempted suicide on March 14 and the reason that drove her to the extreme step is not yet known.

Dharmasthala Police have registered a case.
