Mangaluru : The Annual Fair of the Kateel Shree Durgaparameshwari Temple has been suspended in the wake of the rising Covid cases.
The Temple Management had earlier decided to celebrate the Fair in a simple way in the backdrop of the restrictions by the Government. However as a large number of people had arrived the district administration decided to suspend the fair.
On Monday, Mangaluru Tahsildar and other officials visited the Temple and directed to stop the celebrations.
On Monday, Hagalu Rathotsava was held. Meanwhile the scheduled celebrations of Tuesday including Ekkar visit and Shibaroor Kodamanittaya visit of Kateel Amma have been suspended. However there is a possibility of the rituals being held in a simple manner inside the temple premises.
