Mangaluru : Dakshina Kannada district reported 1513  positive cases for the Coronavirus and 3 have died of COVID-19 on May 8.

Meanwhile, 752 persons were discharged from the hospital and COVID Care Centres after complete recovery.

So far 54682 positive cases have been reported in the district and 783 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 11719 active cases in the district.

The total death toll has risen to 783, including 3 deaths on Saturday. The officials have collected Rs 54,86,130 in fines so far for 52,519 mask violations.

Udupi district reported 1047 positive cases on Saturday. The total number of infected patients is 38,916.

As of Saturday, 328 patients have discharged from the hospital. The total number of patients discharged are 32,730.

A total of 5,25,950 samples have been tested.

The total active cases are 5,958 in the district. The total death toll due to Covid-19 in the district is 228 including 10 on Saturday.
