Bengaluru :  It is wrong on part of former CM Mr HD Kumaraswamy and former Union Minister Mr Mallikarjun Kharge to criticise RSS, said Revenue Minister Mr R Ashoka. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, he said, “RSS is a patriotic organization. If democracy has survived in India, it is due to the sacrifices made by RSS members. When former PM Ms Indira Gandhi had imposed emergency, many were arrested and 80 pc of the arrested belonged to RSS. So, RSS had taken the lead in fighting against emergency and saving our democracy. I feel that Mr HD Kumaraswamy is under wrong notion. I want to clarify that I come from RSS and I am proud of my association. Even PM Mr Modi and Home Minister Mr Amit Shah have been associated with RSS.”

Rain rescue efforts in full swing
Mr Ashoka said that he has already spoken to BBMP Chief Commissioner Mr Gaurav Gupta on speeding up the rain related efforts in Bengaluru. “This year, Bengaluru city has received heavy rainfall compared to previous years. So, we have formed many teams at assembly constituency level by providing them vehicles and personnel to immediately attend the rain related efforts”, he said.
