Bantwal : A young girl has committed suicide by jumping into a lake near the Vittal Panchalingeshwara Temple, on October 11, Monday.

The deceased is Nishmitha (22), daughter of Babu Naika.

She was working at a dental clinic and was missing since Sunday evening following which a missing complaint was lodged at Vittal police station.

On Monday, her body was found in the lake. A death note as well as her mobile phone were found near the place where her body was found. It has been gathered that she has mentioned a few names in her death note.

Vittal Police are investigating the case.
