Mangaluru : The city police have produced three teenagers before the Juvenile Justice Board after they clashed over an online video game on Saturday.
A senior officer said that a few boys were involved in the incident relating to an online video game. One of them had won the game by scoring good points, much to the chagrin of the others. At 5.45pm, one boy called the complainant’s brother and told him that another boy was scolding the former’s sibling and hung up.
When the complainant’s brother called the boy, who had called him, the receiver admitted to scolding his brother, abused him too and asked him to come near a mutt. When he reached the spot, a group of boys present there allegedly abused the siblings and tried to assault them with soda and beer bottles. Besides allegedly trying to kill the siblings, the boys threatened them not to reveal anything to anyone.
This is not the first crime pertaining to online games being reported in the city limits. A 12-year-old boy, a victim of online game PUBG, was found dead 500m from his house in Ullal police station limits in April this year.
