Bantwal : A POCSO case has been registered at the Bantwal City Police Station against a man for developing physical relations with a minor girl.

The accused has been identified as Aswath resident of Kinnigoli Kolluru.

As per the complaint, Ashwath had sexual intercourse with a girl studying in second PUC and impregnated her. The girl later gave birth to a male child.

The minor girl, a resident of Uppugudde in Panem angaluru village, met the accused at her friends’s wedding in Kinnigoli a few years back. Therafter, both were in regular touch over the phone.

It is alleged that Ashwath groomed the girl into having sexual relations with him by promising to marry her.

A POSCO case has been registered at Bantwal police station against Ashwath.
