Karkala : Two complaints have been lodged in the Karkala town police station with regard to the controversy around the Parashurama statue at the Parashurama theme park in Karkala.

One complaint has been lodged against the Congress workers alleging that they have damaged the finishing touches of the bronze statue as well as torn the protective cover on the pretext of reality check. This has affected the original look of the statue as well as damaged the public property, the complaint has alleged and has also accused Congress workers of spreading false news.

Meanwhile, Divya Nayak has lodged a complaint against BJP activists and has alleged that they had performed a reality check by hitting the feet of the statue with a hammer. They have thus caused damaged to public property, the complaint has alleged.

The complaint also alleged that both BJP and Congress workers had unauthorizedly entered the theme park despite the administration banning entry of public for two months.
