Puttur: A man committed suicide by hanging himself in an illicit love affair. The incident took place on Saturday near Iswaramangala of Mudnur village in Nettanige, Puttur taluk.

Prashant Mukhari (38) of Katribailu near Eshwaramangala committed suicide. It is learned that he committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree on the road side of a hill in Chimunigudde, which is about one kilometer away from his house.

Prashat Mukhari has a wife and a young son. Meanwhile, another one is said to have had a love affair with a young woman. It is known that he committed this act after being humiliated after this issue was revealed.

As per the complaint filed by the deceased’s wife, a case has been registered in Sampya police station.
