Mangaluru : The counting of votes for the Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency, which was held on April 26, will be held on June 4. District Collector and District Returning Officer Mulai Mugilan explained to the political parties about the readiness of the counting center.
He addressed a meeting of the candidates and representatives of political parties on the counting process of the Lok Sabha General Election-2024 at the District Collector’s office today.

The Election Commission of India has given the rules to be followed in the vote counting process, and the candidates of every political party and non-party should inform their election agents and counting agents to follow the guidelines given by the Election Commission, said DC Mulai Mugilan.
For the participating candidates, Election Agents, Vote Counting Agents, designated places have been identified and prepared for parking. He said that bringing any kind of electronic items including mobile phones inside the polling center is prohibited.
He also said that the candidates and political parties should cooperate in order to conduct the counting of votes in accordance with the rules and regulations by following all the rules of the Election Commission.
