Mysore: Dr.M Veerappa Moily, Union Law Minister and Convenor of the 10 member Lok Pal Bill Drafting Panel, speaking in Mysore on Friday advised the colleagues on the panel to maintain silence, while people are stirred up against Congress ministers and AICC leaders for criticizing Hazare and the 2 Bhushans, also Justice N. Santhosh Hegde without purpose.
Moily asked the members not to issue unnecessary statements and it was improper to express personal opinions against one another. No purpose would be served by the statements, so the members at least should maintain silence, he pleaded.
Moily’s statement achieved significance in the light of allegations made against civic society members by Digvijay Singh and Manish Tiwari of Congress, apart from Subramanian Swamy on Thursday. Moily declared that the Lok Pal Bill would be passed in the next monsoon session, besides a bill on Judiciary seeking transparency in justice that many take 3 months to pass.
