Mangaluru : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mullai Muhilan, along with other officials, inspected the highway conditions at Nanthoor and KPT junction on Tuesday, July 16.
Speaking to the media, DC Mullai Muhilan said, “Due to heavy rain, potholes have emerged at KPT and Nanthoor, causing traffic congestion. I have directed the NHAI officials and city corporation to install paver blocks at Nanthoor and implement a temporary solution to fill the potholes at KPT as well.”
The roads at Nanthoor and KPT junction have become severely damaged with potholes, posing risks to vehicular movement and causing traffic congestion.
Nanthoor and KPT junction consistently face the problem of increasing potholes, a persistent issue that authorities have not addressed with a permanent solution.
Dangerous potholes have also appeared on the road stretch from Panambur to Surathkal, leading to recent accidents.
