Mangaluru : A Facebook page named ‘Fact Vid’,has been continuously circulating abusive and obscene photos of Hindu deities with the help of AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology from many days.

The religious sentiments of Crores of Hindus have been hurt by these Al based obscene photos of Hindu deities which have been posted in ‘Fact Vid’ facebook page.

On Tuesday 10 September 2024, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s, Dakshina Kannada district coordinator, Mr. Vijay Kumar, has urged the concerned Cyber Crime department to immediately arrest the admins of the page and to take strict action against them. The group of devout Advocates lodged a complaint and FIR has been registered at the Mangaluru Urwa Police Station.

Playing with the faith of Hindu Community and claiming under the name of freedom of expression, the ‘Fact Vid’ have broadcast 7 to 8 obscene photos of Hindu deities. These posts depict Hindu deities like Lord Shiva, Krishna, Rama, and Ganesha in vulgar poses, such as behaving inappropriately with women, running, and wrestling in various ways. Many religious fanatics have also shared comments on these posts that hurt religious sentiments and shows a massive conspiracy to provoke Devout Hindus.

In the complaint, Advocate Teerthesh demanded appropriate legal action against the admins of the ‘Fact Vid’ Facebook page and those posting defamatory comments about Hindu deities under sections 299, 192, 353 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 67 of the IT Act. He also demanded that appropriate steps be taken to control AI tools that are used to hurt religious sentiments. Devout Advocates Ishwar Kottari, Yatheesh, Vijay Kumar, Sushma, businessmen Dinesh M.P., Chandrakanth Kamath, Prashanth Kanchan, Balagangadhar, Narayana Amin, and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s Mr. Vijay Kumar were also present.
