Mangaluru : Students of St. Aloysius (Deemed to be university) presented a four-line “Chaupadi Charoli” (a type of poetic form) in 20 different Indian languages to convey the Christmas message written by Raymond D’cuna Taccode. The following students recited the poem in their respective languages:

Aithal, Sinhalese: Thivinda Jude Kurve, Tamil: Sonali R., Urdu: Umar Farooq, Tulu: Niharika M. Bangera, Bengali: Barry Mohammed Mafaz, French: Vandan
During the event, a cake was cut, and Christmas sweets ‘Kuswar’ were shared with the gathered poets and invitees. Dr Alwyn V D’Sa , the Registrar of St. Aloysius Autonomous College, spoke about the importance of Christmas, describing it as a symbol of patience, brotherhood, forgiveness, and unconditional love. He emphasized that true joy comes when we forgive with a heart full of celebration and happiness.
Along with Dr Alwyn V D’Sa, Akhil Bharatiya Konkani Charoli Sahitya Parishad(ABKCSP) President Raymond D’cuna Taccode, the National President of the All-India Chaupadi Literature Academy, M.P. Srinath, the Vice President of the Karnataka Kannada Sahitya Parishad, businessman Chandrahasa Shetty, poet group coordinator Dr. Suresh Negalaguli, Tuluvere Kala Sangha member Geetha Laxmish, professors Severin, Lovelyn, Konkani Department HOD Flora Castileno, Konkani Association Secretary Rahul Mendonca, Russel Dmello and students Anvitha D’cuna and Michelle Fernandes, who were the event organizers.
A multi-lingual poetry session was held with poets like Dr. Suresh Negalaguli, Ayesha Perne, Chetan H.M., Anarkali Saleem, Gopalakrishna Shastri, Dr. Maithri Bhatt Vitle, Venkatesh Gatti, Geetha Lakshmish, Ratna Bhatt, William Allipade, Rani Pushpa Latha Devi, and Gangadhar Gandhi. After the event, Kuswar was distributed to everyone.
The Konkani students of St. Aloysius (Deemed to be university) successfully managed the responsibilities of the Christmas exhibition, showcasing the birth of Jesus, and distributing signatures as part of the celebration.
Raymond Dcuna Taccode welcomed the gathering, and Sevrin proposed the vote of thanks. The event was compered by Jeethan and Livia Rodrigues.
