Mangalore: The DK District Congress staged dharana in front of the DC’s office on May 19, Thursday, against the BJP government and Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.
Ivan D’Souza, the general secretary of KPCC said in his protest address,that the BJP led government is disrespecting the Indian constitution.
He also congress welcomes the governor’s move to dissolve the BJP-led state government and introduce presidential rule. This is the only way to stop corruption in Karnataka, he added.
He also urged the central government to accept the governor’s report and to order a thorough CBI probe into the various corrupt activities B. S. Yeddyurappa stands accused of.
Congress leader G A Bawa said that the BJP leaders are trying to confuse the people of the state with various tricks and trying to win their hearts through trust votes.
He said that even the national magazines like ‘The Outlook’ have given the cover strory on Karnataka State Government as the most Corrupt Government in the country.
KPCC secretary Badruddin said that during the term of SM Krishna, was the best government in the history of the state.
He also said that even the Supreme Court gave the verdict that, the BJP government is the worst government in the history of the state and further this kind of government will not come, he said.
