Mangalore : Chief Minister B. S. Yedyurappa said that cabinet expansion decision will be taken at the end of the assembly session.
He was speaking to the reporters at Mangalore Airport, who has been visited by the special flight to attend the 60th birthday celebrations of V. Dhananjay Kumar, the former union minister at Shri Bhagwan Sabha Bhavan at Venoor in Belthangady on May 25, Wednesday.
Further, he said that the state delegation would be sent to the centre to urge support price for paddy crop and he has already drafted two letters to the central government in this regard. If the ban on rice export is raised, then the farmers will get at additional Rs. 200 than the minimum support price of Rs. 1,130, including the Rs. 100 per quintal, announced by the state government.
Speaking on the compensations for the plane crash victim’s families, he said that the state government has already compensated them.
He said that the Congressmen demanding the governor’s recall is just a miracle. The people of the country will not forgive the Union government if it is dispatching an advisory to the state as said by Home Minister P Chidambaram. The CM also said that this issue will be discussed in the next meeting of the BJP’s national executive body, in which CMs of BJP-ruled states will participate.
It is difficult to reduce the sales taxes on petrol price after the union government has hiked it at once.
CM B S Yeddyurappa will spend the night in Mangalore and will leave for Bangalore by special flight on May 26, Thursday at 8:00 a.m.
