Mangalore: The Lokayukta sleuths caught red handed an Lokayukta when accepting a bribe of Rs. 800 on June 4, Saturday.
The arrested, Yallappa hails from Shimoga was working as a clerk in the RTO’s non transport section. He was caught by the team Lokayukta officials, which taking bribe from Michael Lobo, the owner of a finance company. The raid was conducted on his complaint.
Yallappa had demanded Rs. 800 from Lobo for carrying out the hypothecation process of four vehicles at the rate of Rs 200 per vehicle.
The Lokayukta team, which conducted the raid, included Jagamayyanawar, the Karwar Lokayukta superintendent of police; Deputy Superintendent Sadananda Vernekar; and Lokayukta Inspector Udaya Nayak.
