Mangalore: The Bharath Swabhiman Trust and Patanjali Yoga Samithi in collaboration with Arya  Samaj staged a satyagraha in front of DC Office on June 6, Monday.
The associations also performed the oblation ‘Buddhi-Vriddhi-Shuddhi’ on the occasion.
Addressing the protestors, Srinath Hegde, vice president of Patanjali Yoga Samithi, said that the attack on Baba Ramdev was similar to the attack held at Jalianwala Bhag by the British people before the independence. Hence it is said that still the country did not get independence.
He also said that the Baba Ramdev is a messenger of god and the attack on him and other women and children during the satygraha staged against corruption at 1:30 am is condemned. The attack was ordered by the central government with the fear that the matter of common wealth games and 2 G scams and other scams will come into light.
The attackers did not even spare the women and children serious injuring 30 members participated in the satyagraha, he added.
Former Deputy Mayor of MCC Basheer Baikampady said that the central government who has taken the responsibility for the development of the country is involved in various scams using the money of people collected through various taxes. The amount of Rs 400 Crore deposited in the Swiss Bank by the central government must be brought back to India, he informed.
We must fight against the black money used by the central government and the poverty taking placed due to price hikes of essential commodities. Today corruption is taking place from LKG class to Medical Colleges, he stated.
