Mangalore: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee in association with District Congress party will organize a programme ‘Congress Nadige Janara Kadege’ in order to strengthen the party and to assist the district blocks, said MLA B Ramanath Rai.
Speaking at the press meet held at District Congress Office on June 13, Monday, he said that in this regard a public workshop will be held in which a team from each block of the district will participate. A team will comprise of a leader and two observers, he added.
He also said that the programme will start on June 15 and will be held for two months till August 16. The leaders will be instructed on the kind of programmes to be organized through the general meeting.
Criticizing about the state government’s development, he said that there are various programmes for which the state government is taking credit, but people are not aware that the funds are being partly allotted by the central government.
CM Yeddyurappa has gained popularity through the 108 ambulance, but around 90 percent of fund was given by the central government, but still people are unaware of it, he informed.
There are many other schemes like widow pension and funds for handicaps, but the funds have not give for them from past three months for a single person. The other schemes like cycle distribution and Bhagyalakshmi schemes are also kept pending, he added.
CM is just back of publicity gained through various advertisements, he stated.
