Mangalore: CM B. S. Yeddyurappa paid a visit to Coastal Authority Development Chairman B. Nagaraj Shetty after his visit to Dharmasthala and Subrahmanya on the evening of June 27 at Mr. Nagaraj’s house in Bejai. Shetty had recently resigned not only from his post as CDA chairman, but also from primary membership of the BJP. Reportedly, the CM had asked Nagaraj Shetty to meet him at Dharmasthala, which Mr. Shetty could not do. In his resignation letter, Shetty had said that he wanted to spend some time with his ailing mother and uncle and take care of his family business.
Mr. Shetty had told reporters that he resigned because of personal problems. He had lost his mother a couple of days back and his uncle a few days back. He had resigned on June 22, after which he spent time with his mother and his family, which gave him peace of mind and satisfaction, he said.
The CM offered his condolences and urged Mr. Shetty to reconsider his resignation.
