Mangalore: The Karnataka State Committee of Communist Party of India (Marxist) has demanded the resignation of Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa for failing to keep his promise of testifying before the Manjunatheshwara deity at Dharmasthala on Monday and staged protest in front of DC Office on June 29, Wednesday.
Addressing the protestors, B Madhava, CPI(M) District Secretary, that Mr. Yeddyurappa should tender his resignation for failing to conduct the administration in accordance with the Constitution and facilitate a free and fair inquiry into the allegations of corruptions leveled against him.
He further said that Yeddyurappa, by challenging Mr. Kumaraswamy and then backing out from it, has proved that he is resorting to unconstitutional methods. He also, he does not want to submit himself to the legal process to examine the allegations of corruption leveled against him.
Comrade K R Sriyan said that people had given a chance for BJP government, on the assurance given by CM Yeddyurappa to change the state as model state, but people where not aware that he would make the state as model state for corruption.
CM now instead of working for the development of the state is busy with the truth tests in front of deities and again taking back with fear. He has made name in the state through the denotification and land scams, he added.
