Bengaluru: Nitin Gadkari, BJP Supremo, has certified that CM Yeddyurappa was essentially an honest administrator and servant of the people and never crossed the limits. There is no real substance in the allegations flung at him by opposition party leaders. Gadkari was talking to private channels in a special interview here on Friday
Whatever you hear on land deals made by eddy, and allegations/charges made against him, are not new. Previous CM’s did not lag behind in such activities, Nitin exploded.
The power of denotification has been given under an Act passed by Karnataka state assembly. Earlier CMs such as Devegowda, Kumaraswamy, S.M Krishna, N.Dharam Singh too have denotified lands, he pointed out. When a scribe reminded Gadkari that Lokayukta had accused CM of corrupt acts, the BJP chief replied that no report is yet ready. Gadkari told press that he had persuaded a disconcerted CM from making confessions on oath, or misuse temple for such attempts.
