Mangalore: DKDC Dr.Chennappa Gowda stated in a school today (July 5) that the state had made education compulsory to all children, and it is available to all now, so that no child is deprived of literacy, as per Govt intentions in law specified.
DC Gowda partook in a programme ” you and I for the school” at Mannagudde’s Gandhinagar Govt.Primary school today. Active administration favours qualitative learning is the motto of this programme of releasing a white paper and handbook when he addressed the local students. He opined that learning is one’s own language was easy. He stressed on a changed atmosphere in state schools to attune parents’ attitudes. He asked teachers to be resourceful persons with bright thoughts.
The Dc found rural children attained better results in SSLC exams. He praised the education given in coastal districts as highly qualitative. Having inspected the school facilities, he exchanged useful information with students on teaching systems. Officers Shivaprakash, Manjula, corporator Amitakala, SDMC chief Jalajakshi and Headmistress Netravathi and old boys were present.
