Mangalore: The Dakshina Kannada district JDS stages a silent protest in front of DC office on July 9, Saturday, supporting Former Karnataka Chief Minister and JD-S leader H.D. Kumaraswamy’s an indefinite fast.
The protest will be held from morning 10 am to 5 pm.
In the release, they stated that Kumaraswamy’s decision on CBI probe into ruling BJP’s charge that his family members amassed illegal wealth to the tune of Rs. 1,500 crore is right.
The BJP had last month brought out a ‘charge sheet’ accusing Mr. Kumaraswamy’s family of owning Rs. 1,500 crore illegal assets and the members of JDS are confident of passing through this trial by fire.
Referring to his charges of nepotism made against Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa over land denotifications, they said that Kumaraswamy have already brought out documentary evidences against Chief Minister and his family members and now
CM Yeddyurappa is scared of ordering the CBI probe since he might have to face a similar inquiry over charges of corruption.
Former MLA Amarnath Shetty, Sadashiv M B, District general secretary MG Hegde, Ram Ganesh, JDS Minority president Aslam, Mohammed Kunni, Shashiraj Sheety, Azeez Kudroli, Susheel Naronha, Gopalkrishna Attavar, Dhanraj and many other participated in the protest.
