Mangalore: The DK unit of Social Democratic Part of India in a public rally against corruption, staged a demonstration near DCO gates at SBI circle on Thursday, July 28 after CM and 4 of his senior ministers were indicted by Lokayukta Justice NS Hegde on July 27 in the final report made to state Govt. on illegal mining and other deals demanding dismissal of the BJP rule, which could bring a new President’s rule again in here.
SDPI local chief K. Abdul Jaleel, addressing his supporters stated that it was an acid test for BJP govt., with a tainted CM under present situation attacked by leadership, dropping Yeddyurappa as CM now. It has to be noted that the cabinet under him is in a cesspool of corruption, Jaleel pointed out.
Lokayukta had boldly named 4 other ministers, besides CM, and had recommended criminal prosecution against them for cheating the state exchequer to the tune of not less than Rs.2,000 crores, so the government has to go Jaleel demanded.
The protesters sent a Memo to President of India through DK DC Dr. N.S Chennapa Gowda, to remove the ruling BJP govt.
