New Delhi: the former minister and present MP from JD-S, Cheluvarayaswamy made a speech in Kannada for the first time in several years in Lok Sabha on Wednesday, Aug.3.
He attracted members’ notice by speaking on a resolution about Price Rise and economic inflation. It may be noted that in 1967, (late CM) JH Patel as MP, had spoken in Kannada in the Lok Sabha matters.
The JD-S MP spoke of rural unemployment and said that farmers would not beg anyone for electic supply and also, education for their children, but the Govt. should ensure them.
Following cheluvrayaswamy’s Kannada address in Lok Sabha, people expect other from Karnataka to use Kannada, as people of Karnataka who do not know English or Hindi, can follow the speeches made in Kannada in Parliament.
