Kasaragod: The aggrieved families of the dead passengers of the being aircraft crash (as on May, 22 of 2010) ftrom Kasaragod anad Kerala, have angrily reacted in a press meet here on Saturday, to the step taken by Air India Administration to go in appeal against a Kerala High Court decree of paying Rs 75lakhs each to the bereaved families .
They accused the (A-I) national aviation company, of betraying and showing an inhuman attitude to avoid proper compensation, and deny justice. A new CMD is taking over Air –India administration on Friday.
Abdul Salam from Kumble had filed a petition in Kerala High Court, seeking a justice this year in May, and on July 20,2011, the KHC ordered Air India to play one lakh SDRs (equal to Rs.75 lakhs)n to the family of each deceased in the Bajpe air crash of 2010.
The suffering families asked Air India to withdraw its higher appeal to the Apex Court, and settle the ordered payments (granted by Kerala High Court).
Pramod Nileshwar, dependents of some crash victims, Travel Agencies rep.Sulaiman, K.Narayanan, Ullal Habib, and Abdul S.Kumble, were present in the press meet on Saturday.
