Mangalore : The Zilla Panchayath Public Education Department and Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan, DK jointly organized a workshop on efficient administration for Quality Education at Nethravathi Hall on August 20, Saturday.
Speaking after inaugurating the event, Dr D Veerendra Heggade said that India has become an important country in the world in the field of education. Through education, the youths from our country are going to America and work for IT companies making our country famous.
He also said that, in the past 40 years, the foreigner who were thinking that they must donate amounts to India since it is a poor country has changed to such an extent that they now de[pending on th Inidan youth for their companies, due to the increase in level of education.
Earlier we lacked only opportunity and not achievement. Hence the government must create an opportunity for the people of the country to do their best, he said.
Speaking particularly on South India he said that it has developed a lot, since there is still poverty and harassment in North India. During the visit to Ranchi, they had received over 1000 application from the unemployed for the job opportunity, but we do not get in South India, since many are employed.
There are 3500 people working under rural development project. Coming days, the desks and benches will be given to the school and chitradurga from the project, he said.
There is no child labour found in the district, due the Anna and Askshara Dasoha and this must work as Public Private Partnership model programme to make it successful.
Chief Guest, Kumar Nayak, governemtn secretary Primary and Higher Primary education, Bangalore said that India has achieved to such an extent through natural resources available in the country. The state government has been given the fund of Rs 10,100 crore grants for the education is big achievement and hopes to receive such support in future too.
After starting mid day meal facility large number of children joined the school and are get regular attendance, he added.
Eshwar Kateel, president of Education and Health Standing Committee participated as the guest of honour. K T Shailaja Bhat, president of ZP presided over the event. Moses Jayashekar, deputy director, District Planning officer welcomed the gathering.
DC Dr Chennappa Gowda, ZP CEO Dr K N Vijayaprakash, B G Naik, joint director, Mid day meal scheme and Philomena Lobo were the chief guest on the dais.
