Mangalore : The District Administration in association with Zilla Panchayath, Public Education Department and Ramakrishna Math jointly organized a seminar for headmasters ‘Creative administration for Qualitative Education’ and Prathibha Puraskar at Ramakrishna Math of Mangalore on August 27, Saturday.
D H Shankar Murthy, speaker of Vidhan Parishat inaugurated the event and said that there is necessary to discuss on the teachers problem and education. Our country’s mental situation is not proper, hence we must build it.
The government has not discussed what the teachers must teach to the students.
Speaking after releasing the souvenir ‘Yashassinattha Hejje’, Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, Minister for Primary and Secondary education, Government of Karnataka said that we have gained success and still there is way to go till 2020.
He also urged the children to go to foreign countries to pursue higher education, get job and earn more money and come back the mother land and make it feel proud. He also said that the children must not opt subject for higher education in order to compete with each other, but take of their choice, since there is required of talents in every field.
Speaking about the cent percent result, he said that there are 155 government high schools and only 8 of them have the 100 percent result. While only 2 aided schools out of 107 have 100 percent result. Around 57 schools out of 421 non aided schools have scored 100 percent result. Hence further the teacher must encourage the students to give full result even to the additional 26 schools to be established.
If Dakshina Kannada scrore the second highest in the pre university examination, the people of other states say that they must score since they have come from the education district and not recognize their efforts.
Later Sri Jithakamananda Swamiji, president of Ramakrishna Math and Sri Nirbhayananda Saraswathi Swamiji of Gadag, Bijapur were felicitated on the occasion.
The students of Puttur Pramod NV and Bhargavi C S were given the prize for their talent.
Deputy Speaker N Yogesh Bhat and MRPL managing director Sushilchand handed over the prizes. MLA U T Khader and others were present.
