Mangalore: A unique exhibition of colourful paintings of Lord Ganesha for the ensuing Ganesha Pooja day due on Sept.1 (Thursday), has been arranged by IOC-Mangalore division, and a team known as Art Insight, at an Art gallery at Shivabagh, Kadri in city to commemorate 2 years.
12 artists combine in the exhibition starting at 10-30AM on Sept.1, 2011 to be inaugurated by S.Ganesh Rao of Katravali group. K.Panduranga Rao of IOC, Mangalore,and Rohan Monteiro of Infratech are chief guests on the occasion of this “Banna Ganapa”(Ganesh idols in paints) exhibition.
The Ganesh Pooja day and Indian Oil Day coincide on Thursday, with S.Ganesh Rao on the scene. The God is depicted in many innovative designs as per artist’s fancy. There are 30 paintings to choose from, by 12 professionals. The exhibition is open for 7 days (from 1st to 7th Sept.) from 10-30am to 9pm daily.
The Art Insight Gallery has 25 artists from Mangalore, Kasaragod and Udupi districts, with patronage of Banks, corporate bodies and other organistions, say Rajendra Kedige and M.H.Karunakar in a press release today.
