Mangalore :  In an old issue of land dispute by the owners and Tenants located at Varkady Lane, near Bhagavathi Temple of Kodialbail, the tenants are facing a huge problem daily.

Reportedly, the house tenant, Suresh Acharya, who has lost his same land with the past agreement by is forefather is residing in a small roof house. The house does not even have the water pipe connection and depend on the well water near the house in the same Vasudev Rao Compound.

The owner of the compound who wanted these people to vacate the house had raised the well wall and even removed the rod and pulley. The family of Suresh Acharya from two months are not getting water for any purpose and go to neighbours’ house to bring water daily. 

When the owners found that still they do not vacate the place, they started digging the land in front of their house and blocked the way for them to go out; they found alternate way from behind the house. When this plan too failed, the owner Raghavendra Rao, third son of Late Vasudev Rao and Sitaratna Rao attacked the elder daughter Sowmya Acharya who was on her way to job from her house in the morning was beating with the coconut tree branch ‘Kotthalige’ injuring seriously on her leg. Sowmya is working as the accountant in the firm located near Statebank.

Injured Soumya was later taken to Wenlock Hospital for treatment. But the hospital staff in spite of giving intimation to Barkhe Station, She was not allowed to admit, since they were asked to file complaint personally at the station. She was given medicine after taking Xray at hospital.

Later Mohan Rao, brother of Raghavendra Rao pushed Suresh Acharya to the ground.

Previous to this incident, other two brothers Madhusudan Rao and Sitaram Rao had even damaged the wall of Suresh Acharya’s house a month ago. Their aged mother Sitaratna Rao is said to be the backbone for all the deed made by her sons.

At present FIR has been filed against Raghavendra Rao.
